Louisiana Iris - 'Pristine Beauty'

R1955, Frank Chowning.  Ultramarine with royal blue shading; gold signal.  16", L. A very short iris, indicative of its I. brevicaulis background.  A beautiful, intense color.  (I. brevicaulis x Cathedral Blue) X (I. brevicaulis x red I. nelsonii).
